CENICIENTA

Para D.G.

Pasó la media noche y

no escuché la carroza

de la Cenicienta.

Afuera, nada.

Salí a buscar las estrellas

y solo vi el resplandor de

tu Luna nueva.

En el camino había un rastro

de polvo naranja

¿El carruaje de un anhelo?

¿Las semillas del deseo?

De ver tu pie entre mis

manos palpando el

Universo.

Noches

CINDERELLA

For D.G.

It is past midnight

Didn’t hear Cinderella`s float rattle

Outside, nothing.

Went out to seek the stars

all I saw was the radiance

of your new Moon.

On the road, a trace of

orange powder

The carriage of a longing?

The seeds of desire?

To feel your foot between

my hands palpitating

the Universe.

Nights

Kaleidoscope

Dreams ethereal though all do we crave

Gleamy or gloomy luck gets us to brave.

Apparitions of strangled wishes conspire

In a bid to escape the noose of destiny;

The pack of boisterous butterflies in heart

Rides the Utopian flight of fancy, in mutiny.

Ah, but the kaleidoscope must lick the dust

Quivering wings do get arrested with rust;

Awakened, aspirations beat a hasty retreat

Alas, the earth and heaven shall never meet!

True, just earthly dreams man is destined to rave

Gleamy or gloomy, fulfilment is for him to brave.
