Magna Motors Dealers Limited, the exclusive distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Jamaica, recently introduced their latest sport utility vehicle (SUV), the 2019 Creta. The launch event took place at their showroom on Old Hope Road, where customers were able to get the full experience of the Creta on the road.

"The Creta is our number one-selling vehicle, so we know that persons will be excited to see the 2019 model. The features that come with the all-new Creta enhance the driving experience without compromising style or security. We believe persons will enjoy its versatility as each owner finds more reasons to drive," offered Carlos Geourzoung, sales manager at Magna Motors Dealership Ltd.

The Creta is Hyundai's entry-level SUV, driving like a sedan but seating up to five adults more comfortably in the spacious cabin. The split rear seats can be folded down to make extra room for cargo, which offers up to 1,396 litres of space. The 2019 model of the entry-level vehicle rolls in at a cost of $4.2 million to feature luxurious fabric seating, rear a/c vents, a rear camera and sensors, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The mid-spec vehicle includes the aforementioned features, as well as chrome exterior, keyless entry button, push-button start engine, leather door handle and a premium leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Under the hood of the 2019 Creta boasts a 1600cc VTVT gasoline engine with an all-aluminium engine block and DOHC cylinder head to minimise weight and fuel consumption. It also features a 15.4kgm/4,950rpm torque to allow effortless shifting in its six-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can also choose to drive in semi-manual mode thanks to the tiptronic mode, which is a special feature.

Using advanced high-strength steel generated from their steel plant to build their vehicles, Hyundai ensures maximum safety and durability. Creta's body structure comprises 51per cent of this material, resulting in a rigid body that can safely absorb forces of impact in the event of a collision. Other safety features of the Creta include an airbag system, featuring the latest depowered front airbags and side airbags to protect the thorax and pelvic areas of the driver and front-seat passenger, and curtain airbags to provide head protection across the side windows.

Customers seeking to purchase any brand-new Hyundai vehicle can benefit from a special partnership the automobile company has with Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB). "Hyundai offers high-quality vehicles, so we chose to endorse them by finding better ways to serve both our customers. JMMB offers persons who purchase any brand-new Hyundai vehicle a special set of terms of our eight-to-ten-year loan plan, including a reduced introductory interest rate of 5 per cent for the first two years, as well as no processing fees," said Owen Furguson, JMMB branch manager at the Knutsford branch. Persons acquiring this loan will also receive five years' warranty, two years free servicing, and five years' roadside assistance for their Hyundai vehicle.
