Fidelity Motors Limited, the authorised dealer of Nissan vehicles in Jamaica, recently hosted the official opening of the all-new Nissan Global Standard Showroom.

Located in downtown Kingston, the new showroom of 7,000 square feet, hosted government officials, diplomats, overseas Nissan directors, and specially invited guests for an evening of festivities and celebration.

This multimillion-dollar investment, located in the heart of Kingston, was a strategic decision for the team at Fidelity Motors, given their long history of residence in the community and the cultural movement to revitalise downtown Kingston as the financial, cultural, economic, and industrial hub of the country.

“We plan to capitalise on the resurgence of the Jamaican economy and consistently provide the best fleet of vehicle options and service available to Jamaicans from every walk of life,” said Major Gregory Webster, managing director at Fidelity Motors.

The new showroom is the first of many innovative efforts in the pipeline that will revolutionise the Jamaican auto customer experience, starting with sales but ultimately permeating all aspects of the company.

“We are the first Nissan dealership in the Caribbean and Latin America to be 100 per cent compliant to Nissan global standards, hence we are now the maximal standard for all other Nissan dealerships in the region,” added Webster.

Fidelity Motors Limited boasts the perfect expanse for comfortably displaying Nissan’s premier products – the X-Trail, Qashqai, Urvan, Frontier and Pathfinder – which will soon be accompanied by additional models with improved features, such as e-power.

Future plans

Commenting on the future plans of Nissan, Pedro Albarran, director of marketing for Nissan LAC34, said, “At Nissan, we are using Nissan’s Global Intelligent Mobility strategy to build a better future for our customers – one that is more confident, more exciting, and more connected. We believe that over the coming decades, fundamental changes will take place in the way cars are designed, developed, produced, bought, and sold. We are proud to be the pioneers of a zero-emissions future and continue to identify and assess alternative fuel options that will help us reach that goal. In addition to battery-powered electric vehicles, we are working on a number of different systems and applications that run on various fuels to meet different market, business, and customer needs globally.”

These efforts, according to Albarran, are in keeping with Nissan’s corporate vision of ‘enriching people’s lives’ and delivering unique and innovative vehicles and mobility services with value that is recognised by its customers.
