Kurt Moss, will be a part of the three Sim Racer Jamaican team for the JSRA Columbia versus Caribbean regional friendly event scheduled for 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 4 on the SportsMax App.

Simulation racers Kurt Moss, Michael Paisley, and MarcAnthony Eaton will represent Jamaica on the virtual grid on Saturday, February 4, after all three were the top drivers in the national qualifiers held by the Jamaica Simulation Racing Association (JSRA). Racing will begin at 6:00 p.m. sharp.

“It’s an honor to represent Jamaica, and I can only hope to give a good showing,” said Moss.

His fellow drivers shared similar words.

“To finish in the top three against multiple talented Jamaican drivers felt incredible. The talent in this Caribbean country is exceptional and is only getting better,” said Paisley.

Sim-racing rookie Eaton was even more ecstatic.

“I’m excited. It was my first sim race, so just the fact that I was able to make it to the finals makes me proud of what I was able to accomplish,” added Eaton.

The three drivers were whittled down from a field of 14 in the national qualifiers, wchih took place on Saturday, January 14.

“I was notified of the event a few weeks before it happened, but I was concerned that my university schedule would affect my time to race since school is a top priority for me. On the same weekend of the event, I was able to find time and practice last minute to enter, knowing that if I gave it my all, I would possibly be able to qualify, or if anything, at least participate and put on a good showing at the event,” explained Paisley.

After several days of practice, the top 14 drivers were chosen based on their fastest times to make it into the national qualifier. Split into two groups, they then competed in two races, including a reverse grid race. The top three from each group were then combined into one single shoot-out, where Moss, Paisley, and Eaton raced hard, but fair, to the finish line.

“It couldn’t have been better,” said Stephen Stewart, president — JSRA.

According to Stewart, the event posted the association’s highest viewing audience to date and expects that number to climb when Jamaica joins its fellow Caribbean nations Guyana and Trinidad to race against the best Colombia has to offer. The Colombia versus Caribbean event will be streamed on the JSRA’s social media channels and streaming partner SportsMax on their App.
