2024 is shaping up to be a year of phenomenal growth for the ATL Automotive Group. Just a month after adding Foton to its brand line-up, the company has announced its appointment as Regional Master Dealer for world-renowned car manufacturer MG. The new partnership marks a significant milestone for ATL Automotive, placing the company in the driver’s seat of the brand’s sales and after-sales operations in Jamaica, with further regional management of 10 other Caribbean countries, including Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Bonaire, Cayman, Curacao,d for the first time, the Dominican Republic, Belize, Haiti, and Turks & Caicos.

The announcement comes as MG celebrates its 100th anniversary. With a rich heritage dating back to 1924, MG is renowned for its sporty, high-performing, affordable cars. Today, the automaker is a force in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) market, offering a range of models that combine outstanding design, cutting-edge technology, and excellent value for money.

Executive Chairman of the ATL Automotive Group Adam Stewart expressed his enthusiasm for the new agreement stating, “Our two-year long negotiations with MG have culminated in a significant triumph for the ATL Automotive Group. With a century-long legacy of excellence, MG has already demonstrated its remarkable partnership potential. We are honoured to have been entrusted with the development of the MG brand in the Caribbean — a region that is bursting with innovative potential and value – and we are looking forward to supporting our regional partners throughout the Caribbean with a world-class suite of services.”

“We’re particularly excited about the Dominican Republic as it is our first venture into a Spanish-speaking market and now becomes the largest territory under our responsibility. This presents a major opportunity for us to increase our impact regionally through a host of innovative brand strategies,” said Stewart.

MG’s current model line-up includes a variety of SUVs, sedans, and hatchbacks with manufacturer plans to introduce more models in the future. The brand’s diverse range of gas, electric, and hybrid vehicles caters to a broad spectrum of customers, from first-time buyers to senior executives, all seeking great value and eco-friendly technology.

MG’s vehicles are designed in Marylebone, London, and manufactured in state-of-the-art factories worldwide. They are practical, spacious, and packed with advanced features such as the innovative Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) and the intelligent iSmart vehicle data app.

In Jamaica, initially, three models will be available immediately for pre-order including the MG the MG ZS, and the MG4 EV, an all-electric model with deliveries set to begin in October. The complete range of MG passenger vehicles, including the MG3, the MG GT, the MG EHS, and the MG4, will be available shortly after. Temporary showrooms will be established in the proximity of ATL Automotive’s flagship location on Oxford Road, with plans to construct state-of-the-art sales and service facilities in Kingston and Montego Bay by the end of 2025.
