Digicel’s Marketing Director, Peter Lloyd

Peter Lloyd, director of marketing, Caribbean and Central America, at Digicel Group will be leaving the company at the end of May after nine years with the telecommunications firm.

A release issued by management on Tuesday stated that Lloyd "has decided to leave the Digicel family for personal reasons."

The release noted that he has been an integral part of Digicel's brand positioning and development over the years, both in the Jamaica operation in various roles and latterly across the group.

Lloyd, who has worked in the role of director of marketing, Caribbean & Central America since January 2016, was responsible for growing market share for the company.

He drove advertising campaigns, events, sponsorship, public relations, digital marketing and corporate communications, targeting diverse markets.

Previously working as group head of advertising over a two-year period from 2011, Lloyd was responsible for advertising campaigns across the Caribbean and Central America. He achieved six regional awards at the Caribbean Advertising Federation American Advertising Awards and two international awards at Kinsale Shark Awards, among others.

The release from Digicel said he will remain with the business until the end of the May to allow for a smooth handover.

Prior to his stint at Digicel, Lloyd worked at McConnell's, a communications company in Ireland, as an account manager.
