VXI wants to be an active corporate citizen providing assistance to people in need.

"VXI has been involved in communities we have a presence in, and we want to do the same in Jamaica.

This is not a one-time activity; we also view this as a great way to teach our teammates how to be socially aware and responsible,” said VXI Jamaica Country Manager Kristine Bondoc.

Speaking during the ceremonial handover of $50,000 by VXI to Laws Street Trade Training Centre, Bondoc hailed this new found partnership and expressed optimism that it will pave the way for VXI to be involved in providing assistance to Jamaicans in need of a helping hand.

The visiting VXI contingent was received by businessman and philanthropist William Mahfood and Sister Mary Benedict Chung, founder of Laws Street Trade Training Centre.

The donation was made on the recommendation of Mahfood, who was invited by VXI as guest speaker during the company’s 2018 Leadership Summit.

VXI agents also donated cash and items in kind to Laws Street Training Centre.

"Providing a positive impact in the community is an important commitment by VXI, and it goes beyond offering the people here opportunities for gainful employment but also helping the poor,” Bondoc said.
