Dolphin Cove meeting rescheduled

Shareholders who showed up for the annual general meeting of Dolphin Cove Limited at the Courtleigh Hotel in New Kingston today were advised that a new date has been set for the final week in July.

The notice on the Jamaica Stock Exchange website said the meeting has now been set for July 26 at 2.30 pm.

A Dolpin Cove manager, however, told the Financial Gleaner and another member of the public that a notice was sent to shareholders indicating the time change to July 30 or the 31.

“Didn’t you receive the notice of a change of date,” she asked.

“You are going to get a lot of people showing up,” said one elderly member of the public in response to the postponement. About five persons showed up for the meeting.

Despite the postponement, Dolphin Cove managers and some directors actually held a meeting at Courtleigh Hotel at the originally prescribed time for the AGM.

That meeting was, however, private. Upon leaving, the Financial Gleaner noticed the removal of the sign indicating a Dolphin Cove meeting in session at the entrance of the room.
