The highly anticipated 21st Hapilos Digital Music Awards slated for Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Knutsford Court Hotel in Kingston, will be presenting an award for Top Gospel Song. The category was included in an effort to promote gospel music and award the efforts of gospel artistes and producers for their success in top sales, streams and downloads.

The nominees for this category include Christlike for ‘Standing on the Rock’, produced by Queste Production, Omari and J Fam for ‘Wave’, produced by Hub Entertainment and Jabez for ‘It is No Secret’, produced by DWC Production.

“Gospel music is inseparable from the Jamaican culture, and Hapilos Entertainment Group has always recognised this fact and it is through this recognition that our dedicated gospel brand 21st Hapilos Gospel, was founded some years ago. It would be almost sacrilegious to have an event honouring the Jamaican music industry and not honouring Jamaican gospel music,” said Kelly Dudley, president of Hapilos Entertainment.

The invitation-only award show, hosted by Nikki Z, will cater to several key industry players. The 21st Hapilos Digital Music Awards, aims to award artistes and producers who have excelled on the digital music market in sales, streaming and downloads from over 200 music retail outlets worldwide.
