Hitmaker Sizzla Kalonji is set to ignite Appleton Estate Signature Nights when he performs at Murray’s Chillin’ in Clarendon on Thursday, May 30.

Sizzla, who recently collaborated on the first single, Holy Mountain, alongside Buju Banton and Mavado, from international producer DJ Khaled’s album, Father of Ashad, has more than 90 albums under his belt and will showcase his versatility during his performance. The reggae artiste said he is excited to be part of the Signature Nights series.

“I love performing in Jamaica; it’s the home of reggae music and where I can really feel the energy of the people receiving the music,” he said.

“For my fans who will be seeing me perform live for the first time at Appleton Estate Signature Nights, you can expect more excitement, Sizzla burning the fire, singing your favourite songs, and being up close and personal with me. You can make your requests, and it will be a beautiful atmosphere for the people, one of love and respect,” he said.

From his extensive catalogue of hits, live-music lovers who come out for the event can expect Sizzla to perform some of his all time favourites, including Thank you; Mama; Holding Firm; and Jerusalem.

“Reggae music is a special genre of music that speaks to spirituality and duty to maintain the principle of reggae music, and that is the consciousness. With a live band, I’m looking forward to bringing out the natural feeling from the people. They will see the instruments being played right before their eyes and the professionalism of the artistes … . It’s the artistes up close and personal with the fans,” Sizzla said.

Admission to the event is $1,000.
