Saint International, dubbed by Forbes Magazine the world’s biggest exporter of black models, is looking for new faces. The next scouting session will be on Sunday, July 28, in the downtown Kingston art district.

Deiwght Peters, CEO of Saint, said that the agency is searching for personality (a willingness and desire to succeed with a positive spirit), a ‘special look’, and proportion. Ideally, males should measure six feet or taller, and females five feet, eight inches or taller.

“The ‘family story’ is also significant as it can determine the circle of positive or negative influence on the model,” Peters said.

The model search is being held in collaboration with Kingston Creative. This Last Sundays Artwalk event will give a nod to the fashion history of King Street, highlighting Jamaican fashion designers Keneea Linton, Charl Baker, Tasha Tiane Fashion (T&T), Jacqueline Hope (Matambo), Kaysian Bourke (Flower Child 1999), RomiToyloy and I-yan Rebel, who will be hosting fashion installations during the day.

“I think that it is wonderful for kids from downtown Kingston and the surrounding areas to get this amazing opportunity through Kingston Creative to meet with Saint International models. This will be a real chance for lives to be changed. Many Saint International models are from the downtown area; for example, our Balenciaga star model, Kimali Morgan, is from Denham Town. We are happy to be back in downtown Kingston to find more talent who can work for the world’s most prestigious fashion brands, such as Gucci, Prada, Balenciaga, Versace, Fendi, Celine, Saint Laurent, and more,” Peters said.
