A source close to Grammy-nominated reggae artiste Sizzla says the entertainer may remain in hospital for a few more days following an accident on the weekend.

The August Town-based deejay is recuperating from a broken ankle, an injury he sustained when he fell off his motorbike along Mona Road.

“It happened from Saturday and him inna the hospital same way. He broke his ankle but he’s OK and recovering,” the source said.

“He may have at least two or three more days in the hospital based on his injuries.”

The Gleaner understands that the deejay is a lover of bikes.

Videos of him showing off his stunt skills have surfaced on social media in the past and when he was honoured at the Grand Gala back in August, he made his grand entrance at the National Stadium with a 120-strong bike convoy.

This is also not the first time the entertainer has suffered injuries due to a bike crash.

In August 2011, Sizzla was left with several broken bones when he was hit off his motorbike along the Salem main road near Runaway Bay, St Ann.
