A security guard (Paul Walter Hause) is vilified after saving thousands of lives in ‘Richard Jewell’.

American security guard Richard Jewell saves thousands of lives from an exploding bomb at the 1996 Olympics, but is vilified by journalists and the press who falsely reported that he was a terrorist.

Richard Jewell is an American biographical drama directed and produced by Academy Award winner Clint Eastwood, and written by Billy Ray. It is based on the 1997 Vanity Fair article ‘American Nightmare: The Ballad of Richard Jewell’ by Marie Brenner. The film stars Paul Walter Hauser as Jewell, alongside Academy Award winners Sam Rockwell and Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm, and Olivia Wilde.
