Palace Amusements has announced that as a result of technical difficulties, today's grand opening of the New Kingston drive-in cinema has been postponed.

In a statement sent to The Gleaner a short while ago, Melanie Graham, Palace Amusements' marketing manager said that in their final test run last night, the team encountered a glitch with their digital projector.

She advised that along with persistent inclement weather the decision was made to postpone the opening.

Graham expressed that the team is now working overtime to sort through the issues, and will keep the public informed as soon as those glitches have been resolved.

She said the team is looking forward to going on with the showing as soon as possible and will announce a new date for the opening at the earliest convenience.
