The Top 10 finalists for this year’s Miss Universe Jamaica (MUJ) Beauty, Fashion and Wellness Pageant have been selected. Points tallied by a panel of judges from a swimwear photoshoot and video challenge that required each finalists to display their dexterity, fitness levels, and communication skills on camera were used to determine who would move on to the next round.

At the end of it, Kimberly Dawkins, Monique Thomas, Ashanti Findley, Abigail Pinnock, Briana Russell, Liniesha Davis, Alexia Royal Eatmon, Shanique Thompson, Miqueal-Symone Williams, and Samantha Williams were the 10 finalists who participated in the Virtual Sashing Ceremony, which was hosted at The R Hotel on Sunday, November 8.

MUJ co-director Mark McDermott says narrowing down the number from the original 17 finalists to 10 was also a challenge for the panellists.

“The ladies were judged based on the delivery of their opening statements, where they shared their interests, personal missions, and scholastic achievements, as well as appearance on camera, how well and convincing they spoke, and also the technical elements of making the final product,” he said.

“As for the photoshoot, which involved them modelling swimwear; the fitness level, symmetry of form, show of confidence and posture added to their overall points. We are more than satisfied to present the Top 10 who will go on to compete for the crown on November 28.”
