Thanksgiving service for Tabby Diamond today
The service of thanksgiving for Donald ‘Tabby Diamond’ Shaw will take place at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre this morning, starting at 11 a.m.
Lloyd ‘Judge Diamond’ Ferguson, the only living member of the Mighty Diamonds trio, will lead a musical tribute to Tabby.
Bongo Herman; Dr Carlene Davis; Dean Fraser; Duane Stephenson; and Leroy Sibblies, along with members of the Shaw family will participate in the tribute.
A public viewing for the late lead singer of the group took place on Thursday at Perry’s Funeral Home on Job Lane in Spanish Town.
Members of the public are being asked not to take any photos or videos of the deceased in keeping with his family’s wishes.
Tabby Diamond was among two people killed violently on McKinley Crescent in Kingston on March 29.
The Mighty Diamonds are responsible for some of reggae music’s anthems, including Pass The Kouchie, Right Time, I Need A Roof and Heads Of Government.
