Kabaka Pyramid's Grammy 'something more to shout about during Reggae Month' – Grange

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange, has congratulated Kabaka Pyramid for winning the Best Reggae Album award at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles, United States, on Sunday.

Kabaka Pyramid won with his album, The Kalling. which was produced by Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley

Minister Grange said, “The Recording Academy certainly heard The Kalling from Kabaka Pyramid and was pleased with the album. Congratulations to this young reggae artiste who is winning a Grammy with only his second album."

The minister also commended Kabaka's management team on a job well done.

“Kabaka Pyramid’s Grammy is something more for us to shout about as we celebrate Reggae Month 2023 and indeed we laud the other nominees for their efforts,” the Entertainment Minister added.

The four other Grammy nominations in the Best Reggae Albumn category were Koffee’s Gifted; Protoje’s Third Time’s The Charm; Sean Paul’s Scorcha, and Shaggy’s Come Fly Wid Mi.
