Yaadcore set to perform at Hedo’s Sexy Sensimilla
HEDONISM II, already ‘the sexiest place on earth’ where guests are invited to be ‘wicked for a week’ at the clothing-optional adult playground in Negril, has raised the bar higher (no pun intended), unveiling ‘Sexy Sensimilla’, May 6-13, a weeklong event showcasing a combination of Jamaica’s two most world-renowned pleasures – cannabis and reggae music.
Sexy Sensimilla becoming a staple on Hedonism II’s calendar of events looks set to be a natural fit, considering the hotel is home to Hedo Weedo, the only resort-based cannabis dispensary in the world, plumb in Negril, the inspiration for classics such as General Trees’ dancehall Gone A Negril and Tyrone Taylor’s reggae jam, Cottage in Negril.
Tatiana Answer, sales and marketing manager at Hedonism II, expects Sexy Sensimilla Week to be a hit among the resort’s multiple return guests as well as add further intrigue for others planning their first visit to the world-famous resort.
Promised a combination of plant medicine and sensuality in a tropical-paradise setting, guests at Hedo’s Sexy Sensimilla Week will experience cannabis-themed entertainment in addition to workshops and educational sessions led by experts in the field of plant medicine.
Answer pointed to the importance of making attendees aware of plant medicine by way of sessions, which will provide attendees with “a deeper understanding of the benefits and potential risks associated with the use of cannabis and psilocybin”.
“Sexy Sensimilla is a unique event at which attendees will also have the opportunity to experience live performances of reggae music with their toes in the sand as well as parties featuring top DJs from Jamaica playing house music, dancehall and hip hop,” said the resort’s marketer, about the anticipated event, which can be booked through the hotel.
After whetting fetishes for the first two days and nights of Sexy Sensimilla – indulging in the various strains of homegrown cannabis and other psilocybin offerings available at Hedo Weedo, amid the nude beach, pools and Fifty Shades of Grey-like Rompin Shop Playroom – guests are set for a blast on Monday’s Jamaica night.
Sexy Sensimilia will take over Jamaica Night’s after-party with guest DJs playing hardcore reggae and dancehall weed-themed songs. Friday’s Rock Star Night, always a hit at Hedo, will also feature cannabis-themed songs from the 1960-70s hippie period of North America.
A Jamaican resort cannot be complete without live performances, which Sexy Sensimilla will ensure with Yaadcore hitting the stage on Friday, no doubt armed with his monster weed song, Nyquil (Spliff a Light Spliff Remix) done with Richie Spice.
Describing Sexy Sensimilia Week as a ‘test run’, Answer said response to the event would be key in whether it will become a fixture on Hedonism II’s calendar.
“Given the uniqueness of the event, we are sure it will be able to pull a fair number of rooms. We think this will all also be very attractive to the local market and we look forward to their support,” said Answer.
