After 15 years, dancehall veteran Bounty Killer is set to make a triumphant return to the United Kingdom (UK).

The Can’t Believe Me Eye entertainer told The Gleaner that he hasn’t visited the European country in more than a decade, and confirmed that his fans living there can expect to see him soon.

“[The year] 2007 or 2008 [was the last time I’ve been to the UK]; the last time was me and Ninja Man in Stratford Rex,” said Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Price.

He has plans to promote his newly unveiled project – Time Bomb – a collaborative EP with Cham.

“I definitely will be embarking to the UK next month to do small promo run for the EP with me and Baby Cham, and to promote upcoming concerts I will be having there,” Bounty Killer said.

Bounty Killer was issued a UK creative worker (temporary work) visa, which may be issued to someone who works in the creative industries, for example, an actor, dancer, musician or film crew member.

News of the popular deejay getting back his UK visa travelled far and wide after he made the announcement via Instagram on Monday.

“Mi nuh stuck again,” he posted to the platform, adding, “New [album], new visa, it’s a new arising like the phoenix.”

Members of the music industry congratulated Bounty Killer on Instagram.

“God is in control mi general,” commented Charly Black.

“The world needs to see the great DJ,” said G Whizz.

Price has been unable to perform in major overseas markets for years. His United States (US) visa was cancelled in 2010.

In a 2018 interview with THE STAR, he said the absence of a US visa restricted his ability to earn and impacted his career.

“When an artiste cannot go to and fro to spread the word, earn a money, and greet his fans, it naturally a guh slow up his career. A star cannot shine in his house, and Jamaica is like my house, and I need to go outside in the world,” he said.
