The Collection MoDA, on Wednesday, November 7, hosted an intimate dinner party to celebrate its partners and sponsors of this year’s season of events. True to its belief in creating magical experiences in unimagined spaces, MoDA’s curator Aeisha Panton, transformed the CPJ Market into an elegant dinner setting, fit for the creative brand and an evening of fine dining.

The resulting atmosphere served as a breathtaking backdrop to welcome MoDA partners and guests for a night of stimulating conversation, delectable dining, and signature cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose from the House of Bacardi.

‘Celebrating Her’

With the help of their partners and hosts for the night, CPJ, the event celebrated The Collection MoDA’s successes to date and introduced this year’s theme, ‘Celebrating Her’, an ode to phenomenal women in the region’s creative industry.

The menu, curated just for the occasion by Executive Chef Akeeli Dixon, composed of a four-course meal, which tantalised the taste buds of all in attendance.

Among the guests were Anishka Clarke of Ishka Designs, whose New York-based firm is currently innovating the interior design industry in the Caribbean and countries as far as France.

Guests also included editor of MoDA Mag’s Guest Editor Rachael Barrett and Natasha Cunningham, a student of the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts, the artist behind this year’s cover of the MoDA Mag.

Guests were thrilled by the musical stylings of violinist Kamoy Gordon as they dined and conversed throughout the magical experience. Recording artist Sevana delivered an impromptu performance which further added to a memorable evening, well spent.

The Collection MoDA now in its 7th year of curating magic, culminated next week with MoDA Runway on Tuesday, November 13, and MoDA Market November 17-18, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

MoDA Market will feature a number of Caribbean exhibitors of all things beautiful and collection worthy.
