Big Hit for Helen G Bridal Fantasy 2019

Making it’s fourth staging; the Helen G Design a Dress Competition pulled a sea of people to Devon House recently. Each anticipating the big moment, when the winner of the competition would have been announced.

 

Five competitors vied for the title. All came out with one of a kind pieces that reflected their personalities, bridal fantasies and showed the crowd what they are made of. Bride-to-bes especially were stunned by a myriad of enchanting dresses, including the non-traditional sets such as those bearing an African theme.

 

But in the end Soshorna Henry walked away triumphantly after her spectacular gold bridal dress wowed the judges and patrons. Henry left the show with a 100 thousand dollars and a new Singer sewing machine, setting her on track for even greater accomplishments.

 

Young designer Renea Brown copped second place, earning 60 thousand dollars and a singer sewing machine. She made a gorgeous detailed dress, which she confidently modelled along the runway and captured the attention of many. Sasha-Gay Authurs came in third with her charming gown and 40 thousand dollars.

 

MORE THAN A COMPETITION

 

Starting with an exciting expo in the morning, the event was off to a great start. Several entities took their positions early. The Salon Spa, Fruit Blossoms Ja, Bold Adornments, Fetish

and Queen Sistas African Clothing and Accessories are just a few of the units, which not only offered consultation but also the necessities for a couple’s big moment.

 

 

It was hosted by the gorgeous media personality and lawyer Talia Soares, the remarkable Mark Anthony and Ryan Dixon dubbed as MC Debonair, the event was kept alive with humour.

 

 

Yes every girl dream of the gown she’ll where at her nuptial hour. So, Helen Graham, the brain behind the show, ensured that future brides got enough to adequately whetted their appetites. Styles from former winners such as Pieces of Clay, the 2017 victor and last year’s third place Mercy J also took the captured the spotlight. Other bridal hubs took a piece of the pie. Exquisite Bridals and La Belle Bridal are just two boutiques that awed he throng of fashion lovers.

 

And as the evening’s affair intensified, the contestants kept thrilling the crowd with stylish and unique apparels for the bold and the beautiful. Entertainers too, helped to cool the temperature that filled the area by serenading the atmosphere with their sounds. Reggae sensations Savannah, Naomi and Lila Ike, kept patrons calm and singing to each beat of their rhythm. all displaying their personal styles in eye catching outfits

 

Miss Jamaica World 2019 Kadisha Robinson and Miss Universe Jamaica 2017 Davina Bennett also graced the stage making special appearances in Helen G’s latest bridal collection.

 

In the end, it was a grand success.
