Pulse’s Vogue star Francine James, has made a huge impact on her return to New York. The stunning beauty, who hails from Manley Meadows in Kingston, has copped a major campaign for American Cosmetics giants, Bobbi Brown. James, has also booked a slew of assignments which had her travelling to and from New York multiple times with Las Vegas being her latest stop to shoot a stunning editorial for Modern Luxury magazine.

The fast paced thrust of high fashion life, comes as no surprise to James, who has worked successfully in Europe, London and more recently, Los Angeles. Now signed with Women Management in Milan and New York, James, is excited about her new international management team.

“I’m happy to be back in New York and although it’s been freezing, it’s cool that I’m already superbusy,” says James. The young Pulse international star, has clocked many miles to complete various assignments with some of the best magazines, photographers and brands in the industry. She has gone to Hong Kong, South Africa, Kenya, Sweden, Germany, Denmark as well as the fashion central, Paris.

With two Vogue editorials (German and Spanish) under her belt, Francine says she wants to go for more.

“There is still more in me and I am aiming for a cover of any of the Vogues,” says the beaming James. But although she is yet to get that Vogue cover, others have captured her flawless skin on their fashion glossies. Covering such magazines as L’Officiel, James’ natural beauty makes her the prime candidate for all facets of fashion from covers to cosmetics campaigns. British luxury retailer John Lewis, has also had Francine on two covers of their magazine. Cosmopolitan, Elle and Glamour, have featured James in 10 and 12-page editorials, while Esprit ran a beautiful campaign across the major cities in Germany, of the Pulse star.

Jet setting aside, Francine has also had the fortune of being booked right here in Jamaica for Tory Burch, one of New York's finest brands. James completed the assignment at the Half Moon Resort, while the Brown’s Shoe Company of Canada also had her working on home soil at Jake’s in Treasure Beach.

Francine’s star qualities came to light as a teenager at the Camperdown high school in Kingston, where she was discovered by Pulse chairman, Kingsley Cooper. In fact, her first international photo shoot, came courtesy of Vogue, before she even left high school. The iconic black and white image, remains a classic and is as beautiful today as it was when captured back when James was a third former in high school. Although the market was clamouring for her then, she had to remain at Camperdown to complete her high school diploma. The Pulse star has a busy year ahead, as she will be shuttling between New York, London, LA and Milan, as the bookings pile in.
