The company started in 2014 as an online store. As time progressed, they were able to open their own brick-and-mortar retail store at 110 Old Hope Road in 2016. It is owned by childhood best friends Summer Tie-Shue and Danielle Cunningham, who both dreamt of having their own sandal store. They had a passion for sandals and loved to see the beauty of them being displayed. As teenagers growing up in a tropical country, they realised that women were as passionate about sandals as their hair. They knew at that moment that in a tropical country like ours, sandals will make the cut.

TURNING A DREAM INTO REALITY

The ladies made sure that their dream didn’t just remain a dream but a reality. In an interview with Flair, Tie Shue explained that all their sandals are handmade and done by some of the greatest designers around. She also mentioned that their factory is on the same grounds as their retail store. At Jamaica Sandal Company, their customers’ happiness is their number-one priority, and they believe that their customers deserve the best and only the best.

Sandals are available in several designs and are made of leather and other materials. They are made with at least five different colours and customers are given the option of buying different laces to mix and match.
