It is often said that great things come in small packages. Tanz Food Block in Linstead fully embodies that saying.

The little food oasis along the busy King Street, is big on taste.

"I am here for over one year now, and started to cook for my customers at the bar, proprietor Tanisha Elliot told Food. She continued, "I was told that the food was very tasty and encouraged to open the restaurant. And it has continued to grow since."

Elliot told Food that her cooking skill is a gift, and from the great reviews from her customers, she sees great potential in where she can take her business.

POPULAR DISHES

Walking into the location, the flavours tingled the senses. Some of their most popular dishes include: pig trotters, fried chicken, stewed beef, and vegetable chunks.

Regular customer Peter Geddes, told Food, "This is a gift to us near the hospital as the food here taste very good. This is the place where I eat lunch from Monday to Friday, and each day I enjoy it more." He notes that there is need for expansion, something Elliot agrees with. "We intend to expand the facilities here, but I am prepared to wait until the right time."
