Nestled at Market Place on Constant Spring Road, the warm and cosy atmosphere of  East Japanese promises its guests an attractive and enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant is perfect for persons who are devoted to sensual pleasure, especially if it’s sought from fine food.

Known for delivering rich, unique and authentic flavours from an oriental cuisine that adheres to the Japanese culture, this eating house is famous for its crunchy shrimp rolls from the in house sushi bar. From its Kitchen, the teriyaki chicken is one of the prime delicacies that causes food lovers’ taste receptors to erupt in awe.

The traditional Japanese offering, grilled salmon, is reappearing on the eatery’s Restaurant Week (RW) menu. The fish is like a mild flavoured meat of the sea that is completed with sour cream. It’s served with white rice and vegetables. It’s subtle and refreshing taste made it a hit in previous years, which has afforded it a delicious come back this time around.

Kazumi Utoguchi more commonly known as Taka is a chef at East Japanese. He’s voted as the star employee at the bistro, its manager Satoru Tohei, explained is as a result of his cooking prowess and diligence. “He’s the best. He’s been here since we opened up shop and continues to surprise us with his gift,”Tohei said.
