Taking over the shores of the waterfront and applying culinary cruise control when it comes to your palate is newcomer Bunny's Seaside Kitchen.

Bunny's hopped on the salivating scene a year ago after a successful run of parent company, B and D Trawling's Pop Up Kitchen Series, every last Friday of the month. "People loved the B and D Trawling's Pop Up Kitchen so much that they wanted to savour that same consistent flavour each day for lunch. So we decided to open a full-time daily eatery," Omega Harris, sales and marketing manager of B & D Trawling, told Food. It has been smooth sailing since.

With delicious dishes such as crowd-pleasing steamed fish, fried fish and grilled teriyaki salmon, who could blame food lovers from falling in love with the merriment of flavours and returning for more? Additionally, since the company catches its own fish, it is served fresh and tasty daily for customers to devour.

So why call the restaurant Bunny's? According to Harris, Roderick 'Ricky' Francis, son of the late Roderick 'Bunny' Francis, selected the name to honour his father. "He always wanted to carry the food industry close to the seas, restoring the beauty of downtown in the process. So in honouring him and his legacy, his son named the restaurant Bunny's," she revealed.

Exceptional reception

The reception following the opening has been exceptional, and the group attributes this favourable outcome to the transition from the popularity of the pop-ups to what proudly stands as a unique restaurant today. Known for their takeout option, foodies are encouraged to indulge in the complete experience and dine on the docks. You have the choice of eating indoors, which boast a creative and authentic aquatic ambience of fishnets and lobster traps. You can partake in your favourite dishes in the great outdoors overlooking the breathtaking view of the beautiful ocean. Or you can feast like royalty aboard The Caribbean Queen - yes, you read right - dining is available on the cruise ship.

Just in time for the festive season, the restaurant plans to add other dishes like the Christmas confetti pasta and the grilled sorrel chutney salmon to the menu. So if your delectable desire is amazing food, excellent customer service and food of high quality and innovative flavour, then look no further: cruise on over to Bunny's today.
