There’s a popular restaurant located just on the outskirts of busy Half-Way Tree that has revamped its menu – oozing flavour to suit your every gastronomic needs. 876 Terrace Bar and Grill is on that tasty mission to sizzle and satisfy your palate, one juicy bite at time.

Food was out and about at the grub hub in Southdale Plaza last Friday night for a taste of the complete epicurean experience. Sounds of laughter, along with banging of dominoes echoed in the open air of the outdoor section of the establishment. Friends gathered in festive fashion to kick off their weekend on a euphoric note. The deejay continued to set the vibrant tone with pulsating beats from hit songs.

The brightly lit indoors offered a quieter atmosphere, where you are teased and taunted by the sweet delights of mouth-watering display. According to Owner of 876 Terrace Bar and Grill Careem Mullings, the change in the menu came as a result of aligning with the growing trend of being current. “We wanted to stay ahead of the competition and keep the customers interested.” He explained that in order to execute this palatable plan efficiently, the restaurant reduced from a six-page menu to two pages, boasting delectable dishes that have been hot off the plate either since inception or by way of introduction, as well as launch latest additions. “We found that there were a few items that weren’t our best sellers. We got rid of the culinary clutter and what remains reflects the heart and soul of 876 Terrace Bar and Grill,” he added.

For your viewing pleasure, he presented a newcomer for vegetarians and vegans, ackee stir fry. He, along with his hard-working and dedicated team, freshly prepared shrimp scampi, bacon-wrapped wings with a side of fried rice, a two-in-one combo of barbecued and mac and cheese chicken cones, and fall off the bone ribs, served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables.

FOOD CHALLENGES

As an added bonus, the eatery has upped the savoury ante by incorporating food challenges in the mix. So far, there is a spicy wings challenge, a cardiac arrest challenge and a breakfast challenge. To my surprise, I was challenged to go head-to-head with the spicy wings. Four wings drenched in speciality hot sauce to be consumed in two minutes was no joke! Despite my best efforts, and my love for spices, I was no match for the fiery wrath! Do you have what it takes to beat the challenge?

The new menu is sure to rejuvenate your taste buds, but don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself today, you won’t be sorry.
