On Thursday, June 18, KFC celebrated its 45th anniversary with a staff cake cutting at its 39 restaurants islandwide.

Members of the Myers family, who operate the KFC franchise, including Mark Myers, managing director; Michelle Myers Mayne, director; and Tina Myers Matalon, marketing director, made a surprise visit to the Old Hope Road restaurant, which was the first KFC to open its doors in Jamaica 45 years ago.

“We were so pleased to be able to celebrate with our team members, who have all remained with us during the COVID-19 crisis. The ceremonial cake cutting brought a happy family atmosphere to our restaurants and a smile to the faces of our team members islandwide. We wanted to have some fun even in these tough times,” said Mark Myers, managing director of Restaurants of Jamaica, operators of KFC.
