FLOW Flex Gym was the place to be on Saturday with Body By Kurt and his team for Fit Flex – the ninth event of The Gleaner’s Fit 4 Life Season 3, ‘Fit in 5’.

The hundreds of Fit 4 Life fitness enthusiasts were taken through a five-circuit workout – obstacle course, ten-lap course, cardio exercise machines, weights room and core/abs routine – with trainers Kurt Dunn, Kevin Stupart aka ‘Sparticus’, Aundray Waugh, Tracey-Ann Nelson Akeem Howe, Demika Grant, Casandra Brown, O’Keno Walters, Tzari Saunders.

Fit 4 Lifers had no time to rest as they moved from one 10-minute set into the next, each trainer ensuring that everyone got a full body workout.

It was competition at its heights for the challenges, as the contestants went at it hard. In the end, Andrea Clarke won the Gustazos prize in the Express Total Abs Challenge; Dilvio Budhai won the Blue Diamond Decline Push-Ups Challenge; Simone Morris won the Body By Kurt prize in the Bands Abduction Walk; George Thorpe won the PowerAde Legs Up on the Big Mama Tyre Sit-Up Challenge; and the team of Gavin Francis, Fabian Smith, Amelia Deacon and Dilvio Budhai won prizes, courtesy of Fit 4 Life and brand ambassador Dr Alfred Dawes in the 4x4 Round The Block Relay Sprint.

Thanks to sponsors Jamaica Moves, WATA, PowerAde, Foska Oats, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Milk, Elle & Vire, Caribbean Choice, Gustazos, Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa, JP St Mary’s, Medical Associates Hospital & Medical Centre, and GraceKennedy Money Services, who were on hand to make sure everyone was taken care of.
