Eight new COVID cases, recoveries reach 599

There are now 121 active cases in Jamaica while 15 imported cases have repatriated to their countries of origin.

Jamaica today recorded eight new COVID cases bringing the overall total to 745.

Six of the new patients recently arrived on flights from the United States while two are import-related from St Catherine and St James. 

Meanwhile, eight more patients recovered today pushing the tally to 599.

The health ministry says there are now 121 active cases in Jamaica while 15 imported cases have repatriated to their countries of origin.
