Portland ganja boat goes up in smoke

Three men were aboard the vessel when the fire broke out. Two of them reportedly receive burns.

The Portland Police are probing a Saturday night boat fire off the coast of the Manchioneal in the parish.

Three men were aboard the vessel when the fire broke out.

Two of them reportedly receive burns.

The men, however, left the scene in a white Toyota motor car registered 5878 HP.

According to the police, about 200 pounds of compressed ganja, ready for export was recovered.

It has a street a value of about $1.4 million.

The police have since listed Garth Ferguson, 43, of Rocky Point, Clarendon as a person of interest.

Ferguson is known to frequent the Manchioneal and Long Road areas of Portland.
