A bank employee has been arrested by the police after cocaine valued at more than $85 million was allegedly found in her possession.

A quantity of 9mm rounds and a high-end motor vehicle were also seized during a search of her St James home on Wednesday, police sources have revealed.

Her name is being withheld pending charges.

The 36-year-old bank employee was intercepted at premises in Goodwill, St James, after she tried to elude cops in a Toyota Prado SUV she was driving, police sources claim.

Ten rectangular-shaped packages were allegedly found in the trunk during a search.

The ammunition was found during a subsequent search of a two-storey house, also in Goodwill.
