Published:Wednesday | March 7, 2018 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The appointment to the post of Commissioner of Police of Antony Bertram Anderson is a welcomed move. General Anderson brings to the Force a wealth of knowledge and experience garnered from years of training and experience in security. A lecturer on strategic security policy at The University of the West Indies, General Anderson will bring the desired changes in the culture of the Jamaica Constabulary Force if given the proper tools and assets which includes bringing in his support team. All Jamaica should give to General Anderson, the support which is so needed for his success.

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force have an opportunity of developing the right attitude and culture necessary to succeed the General when he has brought about the necessary changes. Welcome General Anderson. We wish you well. To the Services Commission, you have made a good choice and as all Jamaica hope, to whom much is given, much is required.
