Brutal attacks on students shocking

Published:Monday | June 11, 2018 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am writing out of grave concern about the things that are happening to our children. Little Kadijah from New Works Primary and Infant was raped and murdered the day before her diagnostic test. Is it so hard just to ask that we allow our children to grow up? So many students have been denied the opportunity to achieve their goals, to be all they could be.

- Grade 11 student at Cornwall College gunned down.

- Grade 11 student from JosÈ Mart High gunned down.

- Godfrey Stewart High student killed.

- Bog Walk High student stabbed to death.

- Sixth-form student at Clarendon College raped and killed.

I know there might be more that we have not heard about. The Jamaica Association of Guidance Counsellors in Education extends sincere condolences and prayers to the families and schools of these children.
