Praise for nurses much overdue

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Much appreciation to Dr Michael Abrahams for his support, in his online Monday column, for nurses and their plea for better salaries and working conditions.
It's very disappointing to know how employers continue to underestimate the hard work that our nurses sacrifice daily. Will the time come when our nurses are viewed as a vital part of the health team?
If this can't be achieved, let us try doing without them for just 24 hours.
