PM may slip in Petrojam spill

Mark Ricketts' op-ed ('Petrojam: it's about leadership from the top', Sunday Gleaner, July 8, 2018) was prescient and well written. So far, the Petrojam fiasco has been contained within Jamaica. That is about to change. The Holness Government has had a relatively easy ride with the matter.

The bear, as they say, has been awakened. The White House, the US Treasury and the State Dept will be looking much closer at the Rusal-Deripaska-Windalco matter, and the 49 per cent of Petrojam's profits being returned to the Maduro govt. It will be a matter of just a few weeks before PM Holness has a much larger crisis on his hands.
