Pro-gay campaign abominable

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The gay organisation publicly meeting in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to mobilise and invite membership is definitely an abomination in the eyes of God, and it's more shocking to know that leaders of Jamaican society allow the publicity.

Jamaica strongly supports the Christian belief of opposite-gender marriage. I believe if one's ideology is not normal in a society's culture and will create disruption in, or is not feasible for, healthy family life, that ideology should be kept private.

Do they know the ultimate effect of children growing up in a gay society? They often experience anguish in trying to identify their sexuality and face social rejection from some friends and family. It's like having white and black parents and the uncomfortableness of being in the middle.

I have seen the confusion for, and the stress on, those who cannot handle the situation, including wonderful, good-hearted teenagers who were already mentally weak.
