Good move, PM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Corruption is not acceptable is any governance in Jamaica. It will only mash up and put the economic achievements in a bad light, which doesn’t stand well for the society to let this dark light into nation.

At the education ministry, I am disappointed with what is unfolding there. I see Minister Ruel Reid as a man of action and would not let any form of corruption take place under his watch.

As a citizen of Jamaica and a member of a school PTA committee, I must commend Prime Minister Andrew Holness for the swift action he took to ask Minister Reid to step aside to allow the investigation to take place without any interference. Very good move, sir. This shows us, as a people, that you are a good manager for both the Government and our Cabinet of the country.

I am appealing to all ministers in the Holness administration to be alert managers of the ministry that you are assigned and ensure that no corruption and nepotism take place under your watch. You are appointed to serve the people and not let them down.

PM Andrew Holness, continue the good job, sir. When any misuse of public funds takes place under any of your minister’s watch, dismiss them in the public interest and in good governance.

May God bless and keep you all.
