THE EDITOR, Sir:
Affirmation of quality customer service in a public or corporate body is essential for that organisation to reflect and grow. This is the spirit in which I write to highlight the service delivery at the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA).
I was most impressed with the turnaround time for my firearm renewal at the FLA on Friday, May 31, 2019. After handing in my firearms, I was given a number. Yes, a Qmatic system operates at the FLA.
As I cleared the security at the front, I heard my number being called over the speakers. I kept moving from one station to another to renew my firearm licence. It felt like the FLA was transformed into the most efficient First-World automobile production floor.
I renewed more than one firearm in 14 minutes.
