Is everyone deaf at Sutton Street court?

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Have you ever tried calling the Sutton Street courthouse in Kingston? I have. I even wrote down the number of times to make sure I wasn’t crazy! Fifty-seven times this week. Forty-eight times last week.

Both lines ring unanswered. It’s either that or a busy signal. Two weeks to call a government entity? This is just one of the things wrong with this country. If we can’t get something as simple as calling a government office done, what does that say about harder tasks? Whoever is supposed to answer the phone needs to go home and stop collecting a salary for doing nothing! And whoever is that person’s supervisor/boss needs to go home as well!
