Don’t victimise the homeless

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Physically abusing the homeless is cruel and inhumane. It is also disgraceful.
It gets worse when “able-bodied street sweepers in a more upscale shopping area of Kingston use the tools of their craft, sticks or stones to beat the homeless sleeping on the sidewalks”.
No excuses
How much more painful can it get for a 45-year-old an to be struck with a push broom while sleeping. There is no excuse for such action.
Let us be reminded: May God bless us abundantly so that we can be a blessing to others.
