Proud of Profs Lowe, Morrison

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Having read the story ‘Jamaican researchers to headline Global Medical Cannabis Research Symposium In London’ ( Gleaner, September 18, 2019), I want to add my congratulations, from Down Under, to professors Henry Lowe and Errol Morrison, whom I knew while growing up in Jamaica.

As a young man, Professor Lowe went to Torrington Christian Church, was strong in the youth group, and a friend of my family. He was close to my sister, Carmen Tipling.

I met Professor Morrison while we were both attending Excelsior High, along with Sir Willard White.

He was very young for his grade above us and was considered very bright from back then. We were all involved in track and field and the cadets. Errol did sprints.

Errol came back to teach at Excelsior, and if I recall correctly, Henry came to teach there also! They have always been fine, upstanding citizens and have done themselves and Jamaica proud. They still have their trademark smiles!

God bless them both.
