FLOW battling vandalism scourge

Published:Saturday | October 12, 2019 | 12:15 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

We write in response to the letter titled ‘FLOW needs to do better’, which was published in your newspaper on Thursday, October 3, 2019.

The case outlined by our valued customer, Romone Smith, is yet another incident that is a direct result of vandalism. We absolutely regret the experience shared by Mr Smith in the report and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

At the time of the publication, restoration works were already in progress, and so Mr Smith’s service has since been restored. All the relevant rebates were also applied to his account.

We also hasten to assure Mr Smith and all our other valued customers that their needs remain a priority in our business, and so amid the multiple occurrences of these malicious attacks on our infrastructure, we are using our best efforts to restore services.

As a company, we have been putting in place various measures to address the scourge of vandalism. However, regrettably, more communities are feeling the impact of these acts of terrorism on our network.

We implore our customers to report to the police any suspicious activity they may notice on our network infrastructure or call our Security Operations Centre at 876-922-HELP (4357).

To make contact with us, customers may also send an email to customerfirst@cwc.com or connectwithflow@cwc.com.
