Letter of the Day | Misery manhole still not fixed

THE EDITOR, Sir:

In the interest of truth, I feel compelled to respond to a letter from Charles Buchanan, corporate public relations manager of the National Water Commission (NWC), that was published on Saturday, October 12, 2019.

In his contribution, Mr Buchanan advised that the NWC has no responsibility for the manhole – which is true! – but went further to say that the manhole at Havendale Drive about which I wrote on October 8, 2019, had been fixed. Nothing could be further from the truth!

On the evening of Thursday, October 10, 2019, a person who identified himself as a representative of the NWC visited, advised that the manhole was not the responsibility of his agency, and took photographs of the manhole.

This serves to advise Mr Buchanan and the nation that contrary to Mr Buchanan’s pronouncements, the manhole has NOT been fixed.
