Commendation of an early childhood educator

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I am an unrepentant patriot. I love Jamaica, and every chance I get to sing the praise of our people, and there are many, I must make a public declaration of it.

Today, it has to do with a very important area of our people’s academic prowess. Early childhood education is important and we have mastered the art.

It is with this in mind that I am publicly recognising a teacher whose impact on two- and three-year-olds is astounding. I speak of none other than Ms Marlene Francis of Bright Spark Kindergarden in Portmore, St Catherine.

She is stunningly brilliant with these toddlers, who, after three weeks, are making intelligent sentences and arguments.

This is amazing!
