THE EDITOR, Madam:

With the passing away of the last ‘W’ of the three greatest ‘Ws’, Sir Everton Weekes, not only West Indies cricket, but the entire cricketing world has lost a gem. Sir Frank Worrell, Sir Clyde Walcott, and Sir Everton Weekes together played unforgettable cricket for the West Indies to see it reach a glorious height.

It could be a lone example in the game of cricket that the legendary trio who wrote the refulgent history for home cricket will now be resting together forever at the Cave Hill campus of The University of the West Indies even after leaving this eternal world.

Every cricket lover should humbly pay tribute to their memory.
