Published:Wednesday | April 14, 2021 | 5:40 AM

The health ministry has been encouraging people to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Yesterday, we asked our followers if they have been vaccinated, and if so, what has been their experience.

Only pain at injection site for 48 hours

– @andru876

My experience was awesome. Zero reaction.

– @AdmirableAnn

It was a seamless process for me. Still no notable side effects yet. I feel like normal so far.

– @willryanwilson

Hello. I feel so weak right now. Me need fi go buy one Panadol ‘cause this ain’t it.

– @shevon_whitti

It has been a pleasant experience with no side effects so far.

– @JohnABullock

Took the vaccine yesterday. I feel way more confident in facing life outside, but masked and still adhering to the distance requirements and handwashing protocols. Absolutely no side effects.

– @fablyew

Got vaccinated outside of Jamaica, no side effects. I am thankful and remain optimistic for the passing of this global pandemic.

– @king1size

Got mine yesterday, no side effects. The spot where I got it is just a little tender but nothing to write home about.

– @queen_mini39

Smooth sailing. Panadol works

– @goodwill_robert

Got the vaccine in the afternoon. I couldn’t sleep until 4 a.m. despite my best efforts, and started developing a slight headache. The sleep was terrible. I experienced chills and had to sleep with clothes on, socks and all to keep warm. When I woke up, I had a full-blown headache, dizziness, muscle aches all over my body, and a sore injection site. I’m taking the day off because I feel miserable. I’m mitigating the effects with hydration and Panadol extra strength.

Flu-like symptoms, which only lasted for 24 hours. Took pills and was feeling better.

– @shushyslimmaz

Severe headache & body ache.

– @pinky_loo_loo

I took my vaccine in Cayman and I had no side effects.

– @angi_berri

No side effects with the first one.
