Escaping like Bredda Anancy
THE EDITOR, Madam:
Bredda Anancy would have been pleased with George Wright’s latest comments about whether he was allegedly involved in the beating of a female caught on video, which caused national uproar. This caused “for no apparent reason” him to take a leave of absence from the Parliament.
Indeed, anyone who follows Anancy and his stories would hear him jumping up and down to the Shaggy It Wasn’t Me song and shouting: “A me train him, yuh know, A me train him!!
Bredda Anancy is known to escape any situation using all kinds of subterfuge and I suppose some persons in real life may think that they are somehow akin to Bredda Anancy in this way.”
I would like to remind them that Bredda Anancy resides in the abstract world of folklore and will always escape.
Jack Mandora mi nuh choose none.
