What is the definition of ‘unvaccinated’

Published:Friday | September 24, 2021 | 12:05 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

THE STAR article on September 16, quoted the prime minister, Andrew Holness, saying that his Government might introduce a system of “differential treatment for persons who are vaccinated versus persons who are not”.

Could some clarification be provided on the following :

1. COVID-19 vaccine immunity wanes between three and six months, even eight months, would a person at month nine be deemed ‘unvaccinated’?

2. If Jamaica administers multiple rounds of booster shots, would a person with less booster shots be deemed ‘unvaccinated’?

3. Those who have recovered from COVID-19 and have antibodies through natural immunity would be considered ‘unvaccinated or ‘vaccinated’?

4. Those who are unable to be vaccinated, be also subject to a lower differential treatment?

Will taxpayers have to show COVID-19 immunisation cards to access government agencies and services?
