Is JamaicaEye blind?

Published:Wednesday | May 11, 2022 | 12:06 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Where are the CCTV cameras throughout the length and breadth of Jamaica? Why have so many crimes that take place in public, on a daily basis, not been captured by the much talked-about JamaicaEye?

On the American and Canadian news media, one sees crimes committed in various states throughout the US on a daily basis that were captured by CCTV, and which, subsequently, led to the capture, arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.

JamaicaEye seems to be in need of an ophthalmologist, because it seems to be blind to crimes, ranging from child abductions to robbery, which take place frequently throughout the island.

Perhaps Dr Donovan Calder, or another one of Jamaica’s leading ophthalmologists, could avail himself to examine JamaicaEye, because it is clearly suffering from short-sightedness, macular degeneration or, perhaps, selective blindness.
